Legal Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Paralegal support (draft, prepare, proofread and translate legal documents; conduct legal research)
  • Litigation support (gather relevant information and materials for court cases, hearings or meetings; go to courts to copy case files and organize, categorize and index case files; draft routine litigation documents)
  • Compliance (assist with ethics and compliance programs/trainings; liaise with the company departments and employees to gather relevant information for internal control and compliance purposes; assist the Legal Department lawyers with formulating and drafting documents for internal control, audit and other compliance purposes)
  • Document quality control (make sure that all internal procedures followed within the company are up to date and maintain the archive; ensure availability of all internal documents in the company server, quality control check of all drafted internal documents before their implementation)
  • Corporate governance (file, maintain and archive corporate documents)
  • Administrative support (perform initial screening and revision of all draft contracts)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in law
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in legal sphere
  • Mongolian and English language proficiency
  • Experience at law firm /governmental agency/ mining company is an asset

Position

  • Based in Ulaanbaatar
  • 5*2 days work schedule, (4 days office, 1 day remote work)
  • Temporary position, for the period of replacement of permanent employee
