CIVIL ENGINEER (Road & Infrastructure Construction)

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft specifications and scope of work for Civil Engineering studies
  • Conduct\supervise feasibility studies under Mongolian Standards to assess the viability of road projects connecting the future industrial site to existing networks. Follow-up, advise and communicate with study providers
  • Design, plan the construction of main and secondary access roads inside the site. Design future piping trenches. Draw up plans, standards, and technical specifications in accordance with the regulations in force
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sustainability, and efficiency standards in construction projects
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, supervise environmental impact studies according to Mongolian standards
  • Coordinate the work with concerned professionals: electrician, hydraulics, etc
  • Evaluate construction costs and timelines, manage budgets and human resources
  • Supervise field works, perform inspections and quality testing

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • Advanced expertise in road and infrastructure construction
  • Strong knowledge of Mongolian regulations and Mongolian technical standards related to road and/or infrastructure construction
  • Ability to design and develop plans and technical specifications
  • Proficiency in planning, design, and project management tools. Technical drawing tools (AutoCad or equivalent)
  • Skills in budget management
  • Ability to work in a team and effectively coordinate fieldwork
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Mongolian and English languages
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
  • Knowledge of environmental and sustainability issues related to road and infrastructure construction
  • Attention to detail, rigor, and respect for deadlines
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience

Position

  • Based in Ulaanbaatar (with frequent trips to field\site)
  • 5*2 days work schedule, (4 days office, 1 day remote work)
